Pandan Plant – Pandanus amaryllifolius, Fragrant Vanilla-Like Leaves, Southeast Asian Kitchen Staple
$20 + $6 USPS shipping
Pandan (Pandanus amaryllifolius) is a tropical herb prized for its long, blade-like leaves and lovely aroma. It’s a Southeast Asian kitchen staple and a rewarding plant to grow for anyone who enjoys fragrant, culinary herbs.
The leaves have a sweet, nutty, vanilla-like aroma. They’re commonly used fresh to scent rice, desserts, and drinks, or to infuse liquids for a subtle, aromatic flavor in both sweet and savory dishes.
Pandan prefers warm, humid conditions and is sensitive to cold and frost. It does well with bright, indirect light or part sun and consistent moisture without standing water. Over time it forms a clumping plant of long, blade-like leaves.
We grow pandan here at C&M Homestead and are happy to share tips from our years of experience. Local pickup is available in Richmond Heights, FL.
