Florida Native Elderberry - 6 Unrooted Cuttings, Sambucus nigra subsp. canadensis
$12 + $8 USPS shipping
These are six unrooted cuttings of Florida native elderberry (Sambucus nigra subsp. canadensis). It’s a shrub known for fragrant white flower clusters and deep purple berries that are traditionally used in home recipes.
The flowers are pleasantly fragrant, and the berries are typically cooked and used for teas, jams, and syrups. Please note berries should be cooked and not eaten raw.
General care: elderberries do well in full sun to part shade with moderate, regular watering. Over time they grow into a medium to large shrub suitable for Florida landscapes and similar climates.
A short note from us: we grow on our family homestead in Richmond Heights, FL, and are happy to offer local pickup in Richmond Heights.
